In this article we will Discuss the Post Installation Activities required for PI Advanced Adapter Engine Extended(AEX).
Since the Installation steps of PI AEX are almost the same as other Installation, here we discuss only the Post Installation Steps in Brief.
Post installation steps :-
Step 1 :- Make Entries of the hostname and IP Address of the PI server in your etc/hosts file.
Step2:- Check the status of the Java instance from os level using jcmon pf=<instance profile>
Step 3:- Login to the startpage http://hostname:<port>
Step 4:- Login to user management and give the Administrator user the below roles before we begin the initial CTC Configuration wizard
Step5:- Provide access to NWA as per SAPNOTE:- 1451753- Filtering administration requests for AS java)
Step 6:- Create the system in Service Market Place and maintain the system details and get the SAP License.
Step 7:- Apply the SAP License using NWA
Step 8:- Configure SAP Connectivity of the PI System with SAP using SAPNOTE :- 592085
and create the HTTP Connect service at sap service market place for PI system and maintain the URL.on the saprouter add an entry for this system with appropriate port.
Step 9 :-. Apply latest kernel
Step 10:- .Perform the oracle specific post installation steps as per the installation Guide
Step 11:- Running the PI Configuration Wizards:
To configure AEX, perform the following steps:
- Start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator ( http://<host>:<port>/nwa ).
- Choose Configuration Scenarios .
- Start the configuration wizard.
- Choose Functional Unit Configuration UI .
- Select Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX) .
- Choose Start
NOTE :- Once the wizard has completed the configuration, reboot the system.
Step 12 :- Perform the Steps “Checking the AEX Configuration” (from help.sap.com)
Step 12 :- Then Run the Wizard “PI Self Test for AEX” SAP Note 1689037
Step 13 : Then Update the SLD CR Content to the Latest Version.
Step 14 :- Then Run the Wizard ” PI Test :Initial Setup CTC ”
These are the Basic and Most Mandatory PI Post Installation Steps
